Does it cost to attend the Clayton Harvest Festival?

The Clayton Chamber of Commerce’s Clayton Harvest Festival, brought to you by Food Lion, is open to anyone in the public and is free to attend. Parking is also free. However, ride tickets, games, food, and beverages do cost money, so please plan accordingly if you’d like to participate in all of the fun the festival has to offer!

The following discounts are being offered:

  • Carnival ride tickets are $1.50 each and a discount pack is available (Only $1 each if you buy 60). Each ride requires a number of tickets according to the size of the ride.
  • There will be $30 unlimited rides wristbands from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2024 and from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Where can I purchase carnival ride tickets for the Clayton Harvest Festival?

You can purchase ride tickets in the Midway carnival area. Ride tickets are good for the duration of the week, so if you don’t use them all during your visit, be sure to come back for more fun! The ticket booth will be open when the rides are open. Cash, debit, and credit cards are accepted.

Our rides and games schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday – 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Friday – 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Saturday – 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Sunday – 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Are there any restrictions to attending the Clayton Harvest Festival?

There is no age limit to attend the Clayton Harvest Festival, but we do ask that any minors attending the festival be accompanied by an adult.
There are height requirements on some of the festival rides.
You must be 21 to drink and you must possess a valid ID to purchase alcohol. This is a zero tolerance event. All local and state laws will be strictly enforced. There will be no tolerance for illegal activities.

What are your COVID-19 related safety policies at the Clayton Harvest Festival?

As a reminder for all that plan to attend, you are personally responsible to take any and all precautions set forth by the CDC, Health Officials and state guidelines in order to protect yourselves while attending, volunteering, vending, or performing on the premises/footprint of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce’s Harvest Festival. Even with precautions to minimize the risk (such as numerous hand sanitizer stations, social distancing when possible, etc.) we cannot guarantee a COVID free environment. By attending the Clayton Harvest Festival, you recognize that you will be exposed to the public and that there is no way that the Clayton Chamber of Commerce can completely control the experience you will have by being present at the Clayton Harvest Festival on any given day or time.

What if it rains during the Clayton Harvest Festival?

Like most other festivals, the Clayton Harvest Festival is a rain or shine event. The festival will be on the scheduled day regardless of weather, other than natural or unnatural disasters (hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, ice storms, terrorist attacks, zombies, pandemics, war, etc.). The Clayton Harvest Festival will not refund fees due to inclement weather, government actions, strikes, terrorism acts or any other matters beyond its control, including but not limited to cancellation of the festival due to a direct result of an unforeseen disaster which renders the festival unable to continue. In the circumstance that the festival cannot occur on the scheduled date, all efforts will be made to reschedule.

The Clayton Harvest Festival is from October 24-October 27, 2024. What happens each day of the festival?

The Clayton Harvest Festival opens Thursday afternoon with a ribbon cutting at 5:00 PM. The Midway is open each day of the festival (see schedule above for times). Thursday night is dedicated to Halloween with a trunk-or-treat. Friday night is dedicated to the carnival attractions and other special events. Saturday is packed all day with events such as local entertainment, a classic car show, a motorcycle show, a tractor show, pony rides, Military and First Responders Showcase, and Clayton’s largest vendor fair on Main Street. Sunday is dedicated to celebrating the Latin American culture during the Latin American Festival at Town Square.

Where can I park at the Clayton Harvest Festival?

You can park at Clayton High School and catch the festival shuttle during the festival from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024. On the other days of the festival, feel free to find a legal parking spot anywhere downtown and walk towards Main Street. Please do not block resident’s driveways.

Can I take photos at the Clayton Harvest Festival?

Yes! Please take photos and videos, and tag the Clayton Chamber so we can share them too. However, please do not take photographs of artists’ work. You must have permission to fly a drone over the festival.

Can I bring my pet to the Clayton Harvest Festival?

Yes, well-behaved and leashed pets are permitted at the festival.

Is the Clayton Harvest Festival accessible to patrons with disabilities?

Yes, the festival is accessible to everyone, however, Handicap Parking is very limited, so there may be slight travel involved depending on where you are able to park, so please plan accordingly. We do have handicap restrooms on site.

Can I bring my own food to the Clayton Harvest Festival?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to the festival, however, please don’t miss out on the fantastic food that we have available at the festival! After all, one of the best parts of going to a festival is the FOOD!

Can I pass things out at the Clayton Harvest Festival if I am not a vendor?

Unauthorized solicitation or distribution of fliers is NOT allowed on the festival site. Non-sanctioned activities, including public address or busking are prohibited on the festival site as well.
